Stored XSS via unescaped asin shortcode attribute
Published Nov 21, 2025 · Updated Nov 21, 2025
Stored XSS in Rustaurius Affiliate AI Lite 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through an asin shortcode value. The affiai_img shortcode processes the attacker-controlled asin attribute without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, so the value is emitted into page markup as executable script. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, which runs in the browser whenever a user opens the affected page.
