Code execution via DWG parser use-after-free
Published Nov 12, 2025 · Updated Nov 12, 2025
Use-after-free in DWG parsing in Autodesk 3ds Max 2026 allows context-dependent attackers to execute code through a crafted file. Autodesk identifies the DWG parser but has not disclosed the affected function, object-lifetime error, or stale-memory operation that triggers reuse. Exploitation requires a user to open the file and can crash 3ds Max, expose process-accessible data, or execute code with the current process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
