CVE-2025-11794Network attack vector

Credential secret disclosure via unsanitized user response

Published Nov 14, 2025 · Updated Dec 1, 2025

Information disclosure in Mattermost 10.12.0 allows remote authenticated users to read password hashes and MFA secrets through a user API. The POST /api/v4/users/{user_id}/email/verify/member handler returns a User object without removing its Password and MfaSecret fields. System-administrator privileges and a target user ID are required; the same flaw affects Mattermost 10.5.0 through 10.5.11 and 10.11.0 through 10.11.3.
