Local service crash via out-of-bounds read
Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in the asComSvc service in ASUS Armoury Crate 6.3.4 and earlier allows local users to crash the service. The service processes a specially crafted request without enforcing the required read boundary; ASUS has not disclosed the affected handler. Exploitation requires low-privilege local access on an ASUS motherboard system and interrupts asComSvc or partially disables its functionality.
