Arbitrary code execution via tampered keypad configuration

OS command injection in Mitsubishi Electric GENESIS64, ICONICS Suite, MobileHMI, and MC Works64 allows local users to execute EXE files. The keypad function consumes a tampered configuration file without safely neutralizing command elements, causing an attacker-selected executable to launch when a legitimate user invokes the keypad. Versions 10.97.2 CFR3 and earlier are affected, as are all MC Works64 versions; successful exploitation grants the executable access to read, alter, delete, or destroy PC data and interrupt service.
