Camera credential disclosure via MQTT wildcard subscriptions
Published Oct 21, 2025 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
MQTT wildcard injection in Meari CloudEdge 4.4.2 allows remote attackers to read camera credentials and peer-to-peer keys. The CloudEdge Cloud accepts wildcard characters in MQTT topic filters without sanitization, allowing subscriptions to match messages assigned to other users. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the disclosed credentials and keys enable unauthorized peer-to-peer camera access and control.
