Stored XSS via unescaped administrator settings
Published Nov 4, 2025 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Stored XSS in August Infotech Bootstrap Multi-language Responsive Portfolio 1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The wpt-posttype-portfolio.php settings path stores administrator-supplied values without sufficient sanitization and later emits them without context-appropriate escaping. Exploitation requires administrator privileges and is limited to multisite installations or sites with unfiltered_html disabled, where the saved payload runs when a user opens an injected page.
