Authenticated PHP code execution via unchecked file inclusion
Published Oct 15, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Local file inclusion in 8theme XStore 9.5.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP files via a crafted AJAX request. The et_ajax_required_plugins_popup() function accepts a caller-controlled local path and includes the referenced PHP file without restricting it to an approved directory. Subscriber-level WordPress access is sufficient; code execution requires an attacker-controlled or otherwise useful PHP file already present on the server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
