Unauthenticated booking access via hardcoded fallback salt

Published Jan 6, 2026 · Updated Jan 6, 2026

Information exposure in Simply Schedule Appointments 1.6.9.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to read and modify booking data. The hash() function uses a hardcoded fallback salt when no site-specific salt is set, allowing valid authorization tokens to be derived across installations. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires the default fallback-salt configuration; resulting tokens expose booking details and permit booking changes.
