CVE-2025-11718Network attack vector

Address-bar spoofing via visibilitychange page content

Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025

UI spoofing in Mozilla Firefox before 144 allows remote attackers to impersonate the Android address bar through a malicious page. After scrolling hides the genuine address bar, Firefox permits page content responding to visibilitychange to render a fake bar in the vacated screen area. The victim must open the page, scroll until browser chrome is hidden, and then act on the counterfeit origin display; the reported consequence is visual deception rather than direct data access.
