Authenticated service crash via gRPC request
Published Nov 17, 2025 · Updated Feb 23, 2026
Denial of service in M-Files Server before 25.11.15392.1 allows remote authenticated users to crash the MFserver process via gRPC. A specific undisclosed gRPC method processes an undisclosed request type in a way that terminates MFserver; M-Files has not published the failing operation. The issue also affects releases before 25.2 LTS SR2 and before 25.8 LTS SR2, allowing any authenticated user to interrupt server availability.
