CVE-2025-11676

Adjacent UPnP service interruption via unvalidated input

Published Nov 20, 2025 · Updated Nov 20, 2025

Improper input validation in the TP-Link TL-WR940N V6 UPnP modules through Build 220801 allows attackers to interrupt the UPnP service. TP-Link has not disclosed which UPnP request field is accepted without validation or how processing that input makes the service unavailable. Exploitation requires no authentication or user interaction but does require access to the router's adjacent network; the documented impact is limited to loss of the UPnP service.
