Authenticated service interruption via unchecked UDP/IPv6 version field
Published Oct 10, 2025 · Updated Oct 10, 2025
Invalid pointer dereference in FreeRTOS-Plus-TCP 4.0.0 through 4.3.3 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt IPv6 networking. When ipconfigDRIVER_INCLUDED_RX_IP_CHECKSUM is disabled, UDP/IPv6 processing accepts a packet with the wrong IP version, uses incorrect pointer arithmetic to extract its network buffer, and dereferences the resulting invalid pointer. IPv6 support and the disabled receive-checksum setting are required; the published impact is limited to reduced availability, with no reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
