Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized brand name
Published Oct 11, 2025 · Updated Oct 11, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Simple Inventory System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data. The edit-brand handler passes the POST editBrandName value directly into a SQL query without sanitization or parameter binding, enabling time-based blind injection. A valid PHP session and access to brand editing are required; the demonstrated payload can extract or modify data within the application database permissions.
