Root shell access via skipped SSH authentication
Published Oct 21, 2025 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Authentication bypass in Raisecom RAX701-GC Series firmware allows remote attackers to gain a root shell through SSH without credentials. The SSH services on TCP ports 10022 and 830 accept session or NETCONF channel requests before completing user authentication. Network access to either exposed port is sufficient; successful access grants control of the device and its backhaul Ethernet services.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
