Authenticated router crash via unchecked configuration copy
Published Oct 9, 2025 · Updated Oct 9, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC7 firmware 15.03.06.44 allows remote authenticated users to crash or compromise the router. WifiMacFilterSet stores an oversized wifi_chkHz value without length validation, and WifiExtraSet later copies it into fixed-size stack buffer v48. Exploitation requires ssid_index=1, filter_mode=1, and wl_mode=ap; a crash is supported, while code execution remains unverified.
