Router crash via unchecked DDNS value retrieval
Published Oct 9, 2025 · Updated Oct 9, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC7 15.03.06.44 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via crafted DDNS settings. The SetDDNSCfg handler stores ddnsEn without a length check, and GetAdvanceStatus later copies it into the fixed-size stack buffer v29. A low-privilege management session is required; the public artifact demonstrates a router crash but not arbitrary code execution.
