Stored script execution via unencoded voter fields
Published Oct 8, 2025 · Updated Oct 8, 2025
Stored XSS in Code Projects Voting System 1.0 allows remote attackers to inject script through voter fields in the admin panel. voters_add.php accepts firstname, lastname, and platform values without adequate sanitization, stores them, and later renders them without output encoding. The public proof of concept sends a PHP session cookie to the admin endpoint, so practical reachability depends on admin-panel access; the script executes when stored voter data is viewed.
