CVE-2025-1146Network attack vector

Cloud traffic interception via incorrect certificate validation

Published Feb 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

CrowdStrike Falcon Sensor for Linux through 7.20 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept or alter Falcon cloud traffic. The sensor, Kubernetes Admission Controller, and Container Sensor TLS routine incorrectly processes the server certificate chain instead of rejecting an untrusted cloud endpoint. Exploitation requires control and decryption of network traffic between an affected component and the CrowdStrike cloud; Windows and Mac sensors are unaffected.
