Administrative command execution via credential-attaching proxy
Published Dec 15, 2025 · Updated Dec 15, 2025
Confused-deputy behavior in Red Hat Runtimes Inventory Operator allows remote authenticated users to issue administrative commands. The internal proxy attaches the cluster administrative credentials to every received command instead of limiting them to intended report requests. A standard cluster user can therefore act with cluster-administrator authority on the Red Hat management platform and change cluster configuration or status.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
