Router crash via unchecked stored ddnsEn value
Published Oct 7, 2025 · Updated Oct 7, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC15 15.03.05.18 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via crafted DDNS data. The SetDDNSCfg handler stores an oversized ddnsEn value without a length limit, and GetAdvanceStatus later copies it into fixed-size stack buffer v39. Router-management authentication is required; triggering retrieval can crash or reboot the device, while code execution depends on firmware mitigations.
