Nonpublic post disclosure via unrestricted catlist filters
Published Nov 1, 2025 · Updated Nov 1, 2025
Information exposure in List Category Posts 0 through 0.92.0 allows remote authenticated users to read nonpublic posts via catlist. The shortcode passes attacker-selected post_status values to WP_Query without restricting draft or private statuses and skips protection when rendering password-protected content. Contributor-level access is sufficient; exposure is limited to password-protected, private, or draft posts stored by the site.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
