Missing authorization in Depicter 4.0.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to upload limited file types through WordPress. The depicter-media-upload AJAX route passes files to FileUploaderService without enforcing a WordPress capability check. Contributor-level access and a valid authenticated session are required, and uploaded content remains constrained to permitted file types.
