CVE-2025-11369Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Author-level API key disclosure via weak capability checks

Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025

Missing authorization in Essential Blocks for Gutenberg 5.7.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read external-service API keys. The get_instagram_access_token_callback, google_map_api_key_save_callback, and get_siteinfo handlers accept an admin-side nonce without enforcing an administrator-level capability before returning site-wide integration credentials. Author-level access is sufficient to retrieve reusable Instagram tokens and Google Maps keys through WordPress admin requests.
