Application denial of service via unlimited redirects
Published Oct 7, 2025 · Updated Oct 7, 2025
Resource exhaustion in pdfmake 0.3.0-beta.1 through 0.3.0-beta.16 allows remote attackers to crash or hang applications. The src/URLResolver.js fetchUrl function follows each HTTP redirect recursively without maintaining or enforcing a redirect limit for URL-backed files. An application must accept an attacker-controlled file URL and invoke server-side PDF generation; the bounded consequence is a process crash or sustained unresponsiveness.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
