Browser script execution via unencoded PHP_SELF path
Published Oct 6, 2025 · Updated Oct 6, 2025
Reflected XSS in CmsEasy 7.7.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via a crafted URL. lib/inc/view.php renders attacker-controlled PHP_SELF path data without context-appropriate output encoding, placing injected HTML in the response. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted URL; the resulting script runs in the CmsEasy origin and can access session data or alter displayed content.
