Authenticated memory corruption via oversized Wi-Fi value
Published Oct 6, 2025 · Updated Oct 6, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC18 15.03.05.19(6318) allows remote authenticated users to corrupt router memory. WifiMacFilterSet stores the unchecked wifi_chkHz POST value in wl.bcm11ac, and WifiExtraSet later retrieves it into a stack variable without a length check. The trigger requires ssid_index=1 and filter_mode=1 during storage, wl_mode=ap during retrieval, and access to the web management interface.
