Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted web-root upload
Published Oct 6, 2025 · Updated Oct 6, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Tipray Data Leakage Prevention System 1.0 allows remote attackers to write files into the web root. The uploadWxFile.do handler passes a MultipartFile to uploadWxFileToRoot, which stores the supplied file under Catalina webapps/ROOT without restricting its extension. No authentication or user interaction is required, and uploading a JSP grants server-side code execution and application takeover.
