Reflected XSS via unescaped search keyword
Published Oct 5, 2025 · Updated Oct 5, 2025
Reflected XSS in QianFox FoxCMS 1.0 through 1.2 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via the Search keyword parameter. The /index.php/Search response places the keyword value into an HTML attribute without effective filtering or escaping, so a crafted URL injects an event handler. A victim must follow the malicious link and trigger the injected handler; the resulting script runs in the victim's browser and can read cookies not marked HttpOnly.
