Service crash via unchecked PPP username append
Published Oct 5, 2025 · Updated Oct 5, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Belkin F9K1015 1.00.10 allows remote authenticated users to crash the web service via a crafted WAN request. The formWanTcpipSetup handler appends the POST pppUserName value to the _script_document_1 stack buffer with strcat and no length check. Low-privilege web-interface access is required; an oversized value corrupts memory, while code execution has not been demonstrated.
