CVE-2025-1128Network attack vector

Arbitrary file access via nonterminating upload validation

Published Feb 25, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Unrestricted file upload in WPEverest Everest Forms 3.0.9.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to read, write, or delete server files. The EVF_Form_Fields_Upload::format method calls wp_check_filetype_and_ext and records an error for a renamed or invalid type, but continues into file handling instead of terminating. No authentication is required, but a reachable form with a file-upload field is required; abuse accesses files permitted to the web-server account.
