Browser script execution via unescaped type parameter
Published Dec 6, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in Link Whisper Free 0.8.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts in a user's browser via the type parameter. core/Wpil/Report.php incorporates the request's type value into report-page output without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Exploitation requires the victim to follow a crafted link; injected script then runs in the victim's browser context and can read or alter page data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
