CVE-2025-11196Network attack vector

Subscriber-level data exposure via unguarded connection test

Published Oct 15, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025

Sensitive information exposure in External Login 1.11.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read external user records. The exlog_test_connection AJAX handler performs neither a capability check nor nonce validation before querying the configured external database and rendering test results. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to retrieve truncated usernames, email addresses, and password hashes; no data modification is reported.
