Stored XSS via unsafe group descriptions
Published Oct 13, 2025 · Updated Oct 13, 2025
Stored XSS in QWC Services QWC Registration GUI before 2025.09.30 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in other users' browsers. src/templates/registration.html applies Jinja's safe filter to registrable-group descriptions, rendering stored input without encoding or sanitization. Exploitation requires permission to edit registrable groups and a victim to open the registration page; the script runs in that victim's browser.
