Authenticated code execution via media-clip command injection
Published Feb 10, 2026 · Updated Feb 10, 2026
OS command injection in the VAPIX mediaclip.cgi API in AXIS OS 12.6.54 through 12.7.35 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The CGI fails to validate media-clip request input before using it in an operating-system command; Axis has withheld the affected parameter and parsing details. Exploitation requires an operator- or administrator-privileged service account and enables command execution that can alter data or interrupt the device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
