Stored script execution via unsanitized category names
Published Feb 7, 2025 · Updated Feb 10, 2025
Stored XSS in newbee-mall 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through an intercepted categoryName request. The administrative save controller passes categoryName to the database and frontend without server-side sanitization or output neutralization. Administrative access and a later page view are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled script in an administrator's browser.
