Authenticated command execution via unvalidated delvalue parameter
Published Sep 28, 2025 · Updated Sep 28, 2025
Command injection in D-Link DIR-823X 250416 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary system commands through delvalue. The /goform/delete_offline_device handler passes the unvalidated delvalue parameter to popen, letting shell metacharacters alter the command. Administrative credentials and network access to the management interface are required; successful injection executes commands on the router without returning command output.
