Authenticated code execution via unbounded route list
Published Sep 28, 2025 · Updated Sep 28, 2025
Stack buffer overflow in Tenda AC21 Firmware 16.03.08.0 through 16.03.08.16 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router or execute code. The SetStaticRouteCfg handler passes the unbounded list parameter to sscanf with four unbounded string conversions, overflowing stack buffers. A valid management session is required; a crafted HTTP POST can interrupt routing service or compromise the device.
