Authenticated code execution via magic-byte upload bypass
Published Sep 27, 2025 · Updated Sep 27, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in itsourcecode.com Open Source Job Portal 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side code. The photos action in /admin/user/controller.php trusts image magic bytes while retaining a .php filename, so a GIF89a-prefixed script is stored in a web-accessible directory. A valid PHP session and access to the admin photo-upload workflow are required; executing the stored script grants the web-server account's privileges.
