Authenticated file modification via unchecked restore paths
Published Feb 7, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Path traversal in CmsEasy 7.7.7.9 allows remote authenticated users to modify files via crafted restore paths. The deletedir_action and restore_action functions in lib/admin/database_admin.php use attacker-controlled path input without neutralizing traversal elements before filesystem operations. Authenticated access to the affected database-management actions is required, and the published impact is limited to file integrity and service availability.
