CVE-2025-11044Network attack vector

Permanent denial of service via unthrottled ANSL traffic

Published Jan 19, 2026 · Updated Jan 19, 2026

Resource exhaustion in B&R Automation Runtime 6 before 6.5 and 4 before R4.93 allows remote attackers to permanently stop system nodes. The ANSL Server accepts specially crafted network messages without sufficient traffic throttling or resource limits, allowing a race to exhaust resources. Exploitation requires network access and winning a race whose likelihood increases with shorter application cycle times; successful attacks stop the node permanently.
