Authenticated router crash via malformed macList parameter
Published Feb 7, 2025 · Updated Feb 7, 2025
Null pointer dereference in D-Link DIR-823X firmware 240126 and 240802 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router. The set_wifi_blacklists handler at /goform/set_wifi_blacklists dereferences a null pointer while processing a crafted macList POST parameter. Low-privileged management access is required, and successful exploitation interrupts routing availability without reported data disclosure or modification.
