Uploader information disclosure via retained image metadata
Published Sep 26, 2025 · Updated Sep 26, 2025
Information disclosure in givanz Vvveb 1.0.7.0 through 1.0.7.2 allows remote attackers to read metadata from published images. The image upload and serving path stores uploaded files without stripping EXIF or other embedded metadata, then returns that metadata with the downloadable image. Exposure requires a metadata-bearing image to be uploaded and made publicly reachable; only embedded file metadata is disclosed.
