Local process crash via uninitialized default log
Published Sep 26, 2025 · Updated Sep 26, 2025
Null pointer dereference in OGRECave OGRE 14.4.1 and earlier allows local users to crash a consuming process via crafted stream input. Ogre::LogManager::stream invokes stream() through mDefaultLog without checking whether the default log pointer is initialized. Low-privilege local execution and a caller that reaches this logging path are required; the resulting null read terminates the affected process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
