Improper authorization in RuoYi 4.8.0 and 4.8.1 allows remote authenticated users to assign roles to arbitrary user accounts. The selectAuthUserAll handler validates the selected role's data scope but passes attacker-controlled userIds directly to insertAuthUsers without checking each target user's data scope. Access requires the system:role:edit permission; successful exploitation changes another account's assigned privileges, including elevation through a more powerful role.
