Authenticated command execution via unsanitized delete_list parameter
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 25, 2025
Command injection in Wavlink WL-NU516U1 M16U1_V240425 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via delete_list. The DeleteMac path in /cgi-bin/wireless.cgi passes the POST-supplied delete_list value through sprintf and helper routines into system without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Access requires a valid web-management session, and injected commands execute on the appliance with the privileges of the CGI process.
