Authenticated command execution via unsanitized macAddr
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 25, 2025
Command injection in Wavlink WL-NU516U1 M16U1_V240425 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands via macAddr. The AddMac branch of /cgi-bin/wireless.cgi passes the POST value through sprintf and sub_405314 into system without neutralizing shell metacharacters. A valid session cookie is required, and successful injection executes commands within the appliance's CGI environment.
