Authenticated router crash via unbounded senderEmail copy
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 25, 2025
Buffer overflow in /goform/formApMail in UTT HiPER 1200GW and 1250GW firmware allows remote authenticated users to crash the router. An oversized senderEmail value reaches an unbounded strcpy into a fixed destination buffer, corrupting memory in the mail configuration handler. A valid administrative web session is required; the published proof of concept demonstrates denial of service, while broader code execution has not been shown.
