Unauthenticated file overwrite via uploaded filename traversal
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 25, 2025
Path traversal in ML-Logger 0.10.36 and earlier allows remote attackers to overwrite server files through a crafted upload filename. The root POST log_handler passes the multipart file name unchanged to abs_path, which joins it to the data directory before opening the target in overwrite mode. An unauthenticated request can escape that directory with dot-dot segments and replace any file writable by the server process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
