CVE-2025-1095

SYSTEM command execution via arbitrary MSI deployment

Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Local privilege escalation in IBM Personal Communications 14 and 15 allows local users to execute commands as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. A Windows service permits deployment of an attacker-controlled MSI package with SYSTEM privileges, although IBM does not identify the service or exposed operation. Any interactively logged-in low-privileged account can cross the service boundary and gain full control of the Windows host.
